I'm finally buying a good bodice this year. I've settled on the "Max" from Moresca, and will order one shortly so I have it for the season. What's kind of making me wary is picking from the color swatches on the website . . . just because they look one way on my screen that doesn't mean that's how they look in person. I'll measure myself tonight and order it tomorrow, taking the plunge. I wan't something that is sturdy, comfy, and will last me forever (hence sucking up the $ for the thing).

I'm hoping to sell the one I have that I never wear anymore (its not a good cut for women with pronounced hips, since it comes right to the waist on the sides). I need to measure it and all, but its here if anyone thinks they may be interested: http://www.diabolis.net/gallery/displayimage.php?album=161&pos=22 (PS, I'm not the one in the kilt) . One side is that brocade, the other is a solid blue (like a dark cornflower blue). You can see the back of it in this pic (I'm sort of in the middle of the photo, with a green muffin cap): http://www.diabolis.net/gallery/displayimage.php?album=152&pos=26 . I bought it in 2001 at the Sterling Faire for a good chunk of change and have only worn it about 5 times or so.

Its too bad we can't go to the King Arthur Faire this weekend (Brian is on call); I'm jonesing for Faire season to begin!

*GASP*
look at that common hussy in the first picture! I mean a KILT below the KNEES!? Shameful!

On another aside, does the "on call" start tonight or tomorrow? Will you guys be going to *gag* Everett? I was out last night and don't know if I want to go again, but I'll be hanging at [livejournal.com profile] poetman's today (get this) with HIS kitties while he's out of town, so I'll be closer. I just don't want to risk my ride in the "rough" part of town, if you know what I mean.

On another aside, I'm done kitty sitting. *silly grin* for a while anyway!

Ooohhh - the proper "short" kilt as opposed to the "brazen" long one?

Or in honor of Everett, will you be slutty? *evil grin*

actually, all of mine are "too long"... even my utilikilts are mid-knee, which is "out of fashion"

the moresca bodices are great. i've got two of them and they're really sturdy (and i love to modify mine using strong ribbons instead of straps, or for my more punk rock one, i've attached the straps with pointy studs. (which good old ron impailed his head on one once as he went to rest his head on my shoulder. hehe.)
