Its the little things

You know you aren't a clothes horse when you get complimented by a few particular shopping-obsessed people anytime you come in with something new on. I picked up 2 spring/summer suits yesterday and wore one in today. I'm getting closer to the point where dressing for work won't be a huge deal anymore - I'm so proud of me!
Its crazy, I was at meetings all yesterday afternoon and all this morning. Here's hoping I can be productive after grabbing my lunch. There are a lot of potentially interesting things on my plate now, I just need the damned time to do them!
We spent last night chatting about things (our house, our yard, our neurotic personalities). Brian and I compliment each other pretty well when it comes to neurosis, so that's a good thing! :) I'm looking forward to spending tonight with him; we may finally catch Sin City and it would be fun to walk down to Moody for dinner. I'm going to truly enjoy my neighborhood this year: Lizzy's and Dairy Joy, here we come! Summer is definitely in the air, despite the coolness outside. My cruising tunes for the day included: Van Halen, Waltham, Damone, Queen, Gary Numan and alternately, Loreena McKennitt.
Oh my God! And I found out one of our doctors (famous in his own right, apparently on "60 Minutes" before) is David Lee Roth's uncle! :)

Date: 2005-04-29 04:38 pm (UTC)I really do. Yours is the blueprint I try to follow, in my bumbling, retarded way.
Hey,
Date: 2005-04-29 05:13 pm (UTC)Aw, thanks!
And you know, just because we're complimentary, that doesn't mean we bumbling and retarded at times too! :) It just works out that usually one of us is "on" while the other one is retardedly bumbling! :)

Date: 2005-04-29 05:20 pm (UTC)His uncle is retiring soon apparently and the hospital execs were talking about how whenever he does anything it brings great press (given his own and his nephew's popularity)! :)

Date: 2005-04-29 08:05 pm (UTC)Several moons ago, Van Halen came to town and I thought about hitting up Sam for tickets. Decided against being that slimy. Glad I did because the show got cancelled. Right at stage time, Eddie came out and mumbled something about Gary being sick.
