Each time there is a lull in my sewing I have a difficult time getting back into it. Now that I've gotten over that hump again I'm excited about projects coming down the line.
Though I have some things to alter in the short term (a dress to wear to weddings, my tap costume, minor repairs on the Leia collar and the trim on my Padme Episode I Battle outfit), but I'm getting excited about working on my bellydance solo outfit (based on the Slave Leia). I'm hoping to get some supplies this week and spend some time working on it over the weekend. Also, the dance is progressing nicely. I've been working on it in my head while stuck in traffic and I think I have most of it fleshed out.
I also want to make a Sheltay Retrac costume at some point: http://www.padawansguide.com/organa.shtml (aka the whiteish dress). She's Bail Organa's Aide and Bodyguard (!) in Episode III. I guess it would only be appropriate to make Brian the accompanying Bail costume.
Its addictive, I tell ya!

Date: 2005-05-24 03:34 pm (UTC)My brother was just bitten by the costuming bug after seeing all of the attention he got with us at this past weekend's theater promotions. Women do tend to like men in uniform! :)

Date: 2005-05-24 07:43 pm (UTC)Perhaps build/height wise he'd be a good Episode II Anakin. He's got a bit of an afro though, so the hair would be tough :)
He basically looks exactly like me if I were male and had the same hair as Hyde from That 70's show :)

lol actually, yes, I believe he's the one I'm thinking of. He'd make a very good Anakin, imo. :: grins evilly. :: Did I mention I've always wanted to construct an Anakin costume... no bias here. ;D
