dancerjodiI made Chicken Biranyi last night (yum)! and we ran some errands, had some tea and browsed the bookstore, stopped at the supermarket, and still had time to spend together before bed (heh).
I'm now the proud owner of a spring/summer purse that I like, that will hold my stuff, that will be professional enough for work while still kind of funky/cool, its ergonomic so it won't cause a lot of problems to my right shoulder which I seem to have issues with, and it seems of good enough quality to last a long time. The funny thing is that its the EXACT same style and brand of purse I bought for the winter last year - a medium sized Nine West hobo style with a houndstooth design. I had actually tried to find one on e-bay like this last week but had no luck (and I kicked myself for not buying 2 last year). The one I bought last year was black on black, while this one is dark purple on a light almost gray purple background. Score! It was super marked down at Filenes (they are starting to clear their things out for the stores eventual closings), so I paid $18 (opposed to the $40 I spent last year). This is a good thing for me, being someone who hates shopping and spending $, and just wants to get something functional that will last forever and just move on. Brian kept teasing me last night, instructing me on how I was supposed to be a girl and like shopping (while I ran around the purse area madly just trying to find something asap and get out of there). He even took to pointing out stereotypical examples of the species around us who kind of sauntered through the purse section, taking in all of the options (of course, I usually just want to hit those people). Girl my ass! ;)
I'll see some of you tonight at the Ominous Collective shindig. Related, who is going to Xmortis tomorrow? We're still on the fence . . .
