Brian and I have been working to pare down our stuff*. In particular, we have a ton of comic/sci fi/popular media collectibles. Given the space we have to display things, we've been working to keep the only best of the best.
Our attic currently has stuff we don't want anymore spread around by category (Star Wars, Japanese Robots, Msc). I'd love to turn some of this into cash because I know some of it could be worth something, but I'm not sure I want to deal with the Ebay hassle (Brian sure doesn't). I wonder, how well the Ebay consignment shops work, how selling things to a comic and/or collectible store would work, and what people would want.
In the box, I have these:
Delirium Soft Toy: http://www.dccomics.com/dcdirect/?dcd=3494&cat=OTHER&lst=all
Exclusive Red Dawn (Joe Linsner) Figure: http://actionfigures.about.com/cs/females/gr/towerdawn.htm
Also:
Framed A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back Posters
A vintage joker figure on stand, around 11" tall, circa 70s
A bag of Star Wars lego sets
Random small Star Wars action figures out of box
The older 1/2 of the Jedi Council set http://www.starwars.com/collecting/news/hasbro/news20040901.html . The bad guy set may be up for grabs too
Anyone want to look through our stuff?
*and please don't give us any more random collectibles, we don't have room for them :)

Date: 2006-04-12 05:33 pm (UTC)Let me know.
PS - aside - I SO want a manicure, but this weekend is wonky, when are you available for girly stuff!? And I haven't forgotten we need ot make a Wrentham Outlet trip. Also let me know when you are free for that. My schedule is suprisingly unfull *lol*
nails and shopping
Date: 2006-04-12 05:49 pm (UTC)The next couple of weekends are kind of weird, so I'm not sure how Wrentham would work out. I think I'm free the 23rd (a Sunday) and the 29th (a Saturday).
And you don't happen to know if any clubby stuff happening on this Sunday? Given that its Easter I wasn't holding out much hope, but we have Monday off, dammit! :)
Re: nails and shopping
Date: 2006-04-12 06:13 pm (UTC)I SO need a haircut too - I'm going to Miss Krista of the Blue Hair Operation, and I need ot make an appointment!
We could tentatively schedule the 23rd, I can go whenever you want (like in the morning, so you have the afternoon free, or vice versa!) but I'm going to NYC the weekend of the 29th.
We could push it out to May, I'd like to have looked before then because if I need to get my hunt on for luggage I have more time. Yipes! I go to Europe end of NEXT month! where did THAT come from!

Date: 2006-04-12 07:15 pm (UTC)OH - forgot to answer re: Sunday night - Club Hell has moved their Goth/Industrial night back to Sunday, and surprise surprise have had to revert back to their old format becuase people didn't like the newer more noise/industrial oriented format. I saw a rant on my Friends of from one of the Djs and it might be the same guy who told me I had no cred because I liked VNV Nation and OBVIOUSLY had no taste. I forgot to tell him I'm the mod of the Cruxshadows LJ comm/ *evil grin*
I MIGHT be pursuaded to drop in if you're going. I don't know if anything else is going on now, but I'll let you know if I hear anything.

I understand the need to get rid of stuff. Just not very good at it myself.
