Wow that's some rain out there! We need it and all, but I was getting used to not waking up cold in the morning.
Dance class tonight - lets see how my still mildly unhealthy body reacts to it!
We did get the last things into the dumpster last night (it should be picked up today) - our back yard looks like a back yard! We also washed mounds of laundry, got through a bit of the Sunday paper, and caught up with some recorded shows (the rest of Rollergirls, and the last 2 episodes of That 70's Show). Phear our mundane lives! I had other grand plans of going on a cleaning frenzy with the rugs, bathrooms, etc . . . I just got a bit tired. I'm looking forward to being back to normal energywise once this cold is gone.
I finally got around to listening to some of Queensryche's Mindcrime II album this morning. I really don't like the title song (I'm American) - it sounds like they are trying to be Maiden or something, the speed and vocals just aren't them. I did enjoy songs 5-10, and will get through the rest of it today. I also started a new book last night after making my way through V for Vendetta (Tiamatlady, we have to get it back to you). The new one is a history of Broadway choreographer/directors, and should be a good history of the art form and fill in pieces that I never picked up from my old teacher over the years. A review to come when I'm finished (I imagine it will be a quick read).

Date: 2006-05-02 01:32 pm (UTC)by the way - our local video store does NOT carry "the metal years." i'm going to find out who took my copy and sacrifice them to the metal gods.
The Metal Years
Date: 2006-05-02 02:44 pm (UTC)I did see some bids on e-bay for it the last time I was looking, but I also found a website which seemed to suggest at some point they'd be available on DVD http://www.declinemovies.com/ (the site is super outdated). Who knows! :)
Oh,

Date: 2006-05-02 02:50 pm (UTC)i scored a copy of "the metal years" for $5 when a music store where i was growing up closed. it vanished sometime in the last 5 or 6 years, but i can't for the life of me remember to whom i might have loaned it.
