We had dinner with friends on Friday, and it was the first time we've seen them all in a while. Its always nice to catch up, and reminds me that I'd love to spend more time with them. I'm working on simplifying and not overscheduling things so that we have time for friends like this. Saturday would bring ballet and checking out the new gym nearby http://www.belabody.com/ . I'll definitely be taking some classes with them - the place was very welcoming, inspiring and its so damned convenient! Post the tour we headed up to Northwood NH to visit old Netgoth friends with another old Netgoth friend we haven't seen in a while. It was a weekend of making connections, reminiscing and reminding myself of what's important in life.

Saturday was mother's day, and Mom seemed to enjoy her gifts before retiring to the living room TV. I picked up gift certificates for her from http://www.islandyarnco.com/ , which is near the house and is owned by my brother's friends' Mom (did you follow that?). When I went in to buy them she talked my ear off, commenting about the 501st, our medieval wedding years back, what her kids were up to (really nice lady, really cute store). What was that about the city being so small despite its size? I can't believe that it took me so long to get into the store! Local folks should definitely check them out if you haven't. :)

Gram has moved from the ICU to a regular med/surg floor, mostly because there isn't anything needed in the ICU to keep her going (and they wanted to free the bed up for someone who could benefit from it). She's still doing poorly, still bleeding internally, and they still don't know from where (they can't scope her to find out because she's still too weak). My parents went with my Sister to visit her on Sunday, neglecting to tell EJ and I they were going (of course). After talking with sis after the visit though, I'm glad we didn't go. Her dementia is getting worse, she's barely conscious, and forgets in a matter of minutes that her visitors were there. That's just not my grandmother, and I don't want to see her that way. I'll keep you all posted, but its not looking good.

Max is still hanging on, doing his normal (as of late) Max things.

In totally silly news (I can't believe I'm saying this), I am SO BUMMED that That 70's Show is going away! We had recorded a show that was on after last week's episode which was a retrospective of the 8 seasons, and showed some scenes from this week's series finale. I'm not a big TV person but I love that show! I've lived some of those situations (having a similar group of friends, favorite hangouts, awkward first loves). I think the characters are so likeable. I'll miss seeing the 360s and the fantasy sequences. This is the first show I've been so attached to that I've been bummed to see leave TV (seriously, I enjoyed BTVS but didn't get emotionally involved with it or anything). I still can't believe I'm thinking all of this, because I've made great efforts to not be your average American slob that sits in front of the TV each night. Ah well, something in the series just got to me. At least I'll have my DVDs and the daily syndication when desperate. :)

"I see that I've been un-friended. I wish you and yours well. I think we could've been better friends, but ... time, there just isn't enough. Be well."

No offense was meant, I ended up removing a bunch of people that I don't end up seeing in real life; work is getting crazy and I'm having a hard time keeping up with things (but if I ever get out dancing again, perhaps I'll see you there?) :)
