We met friends for dinner to plan out our Disney Trip (for Star Wars weekends). The Lady Tusken costume is coming along well, and though we'll be busy over the next few days we should be fine getting things together for the trip.
We trooped on Saturday at a fundraiser for a family having medical issues that has no insurance. Our favorite fan was a little girl named Amanda http://connsquad.com/Gallery/album18/amanda who we met when we trooped at her school in the winter. Amanda was really happy to see us (OH, I NEVER THOUGHT I'D EVER SEE YOU AGAIN!!!), followed us around holding hands and hugging all afternoon, and cried when her Mom told her she had to leave, running into Darth Vader giving him a huge hug and saying she didn't want to go. Such a cutie! Note the face painting (she's got Vader on one cheek and a TK on the other). This is why we spend our time dressing up like action figures for the most part!
On Sunday we trooped at the Ride for [Brain Tumor] Research, and saw our friend from last year who was a Brain Tumor survivor and a huge SW fan. We also slapped a lot of 5's (kids and adults), cheered on a team of riders called "Joey's Jedi's" and cooked much meat at the house afterward. Pics to come once James captures them from his video.
All in all a good weekend :)!
