James, Sean (an NEG guy) and his friend and I went to see Extreme http://www.nuno-bettencourt.com/Extreme.html on Friday night. It was a great show. Gary didn't sound as good as his best (but if you had never heard him sing before you would have thought him great). Nuno was as good or even better than ever, and MAN IS THAT GUY SEXY! They did a good mix of music from their albums and played things I didn't expect to hear. Of course they played "More Than Words", though they didn't seem too excited about it. They had guest musicians including their old drummer Mike Mangini (from Waltham http://www.boston.com/news/local/massachusetts/articles/2004/01/29/for_this_different_drummer_speeds_the_thing?mode=PF) and 3 members from the band Boston. It was such a fun night! I saw an old Jr. HS friend (I think) and a couple that I used to go to metal shows with back years and years ago (the guy http://www.voices.no/authors/bertolami.html was my friend Carl's older brother, and his wife was his GF then).

Yesterday Brian and I were super productive around the house, with him finishing the repair job on our back porch, me finishing the sanding of my bureau, and us cleaning the garage up a bit. We're hoping to finish cleaning it up a bit today, hit the grocery store, and I should get the bureau finished over the next 2 days (once all paint, sawdust, and whatever is vacuumed up in the garage). We'll be hosting my family for a BBQ later on, so we need to hit the supermarket.

We're both off work tomorrow and Tuesday, whoot! We'll be trooping tomorrow night at the Worcester fireworks, and we're heading to Rockport with friends on Tuesday. Busy busy weekend!
