He did indeed have an infection (and a 105 degree temperature). He's shot with antibiotics, we have a 10 day supply to give him, and he traded in the soft e-collar for a hard plastic one. At least its clear though, so he can see where he's going underneath him.

Brian headed to work and I'm holding down the fort. Mal is sleeping calmly now http://tk7602.livejournal.com/823999.html , so I figured I'd hang out in the living room with Jayne (in the front window) for a while.

Brian fixed our TV. We can't figure out what was wrong with it - it needed to be "rebooted" (he unplugged it, plugged it in again, and its fine now). Our porches are looking great (of course, I'm not sure how we'll leave the house with the floors painted . . . the bulched is an option, but we can't lock that from the outside. I'll figure it out when it becomes an issue :) I had some cash in my wallet, so I stopped at Home Depot on the way home and picked up a new welcome mat for out front.

Friday finally!

its funny, your posts and updates actually really helped me explain to Dr. P exactly what was going on. Mal was super brave. He didn't complain and stayed very still when i gave him fluids and when we cleaned the incision. such a good kitty! I hope he's starting to feel better!
