The Tiggerette and I checked out The Tea Leaf http://www.teamap.com/tearooms/the_tea_leaf_2027.html , the tea shoppe on Moody that's been open for quite a while but I had never made it into. There is a good selection of teas to choose from, a menu that has everything from a la carte to a full afternoon tea (which is what we did). The owner came out to us on her own and pointed out what each thing on the tray was, and how she made them. So good! The food and tea was as good as anything I've ever had at a fancy hotel in Boston, the price was much better ($15) and the atmosphere was much more comfortable and less stuffy feeling. I'll definitely go back, and I'd love to take Brian and my Mom and Sister.

After tea and relaxing a bit we went out and picked some raspberries at http://www.landssake.org/index.htm, only about a 10 or so minute drive from our house. The berries are *just* starting to come ripe, so it took a good hour or so for she and I to each fill our pints, but the time spent was very nice. We wandered amongst their u-pick flowers for a bit and selected some other goodies for purchase (the Tiggerette picked up some okra, I picked up some of the farm made honey). If you'd like to get some fresh local berries, definitely check them out.

I made some pancakes with said berries for Brian and I yesterday, and we had them with some butter and lite cool-whip (before heading to the wedding I already mentioned, where there was another great spread of food - a vegetarian/kosher spread).

Its been a bad WW week I'm sure, but it was nice to just savor and enjoy fresh good food. With DragonCon coming this weekend I'm sure we'll have a huge wagon to jump on again come September! :)

Would you be free on Saturday 9/9 at 1:00? If my friend Di is free she and I will go, and you're more than welcome to join us! Maybe Brian will too! :)

Hrm, as it turns out Brian and I have plans that day. We'll have to do tea some other time!

Okay, no problem.

I'm officially done with work and will return to being a full-time student after tomorrow, so this fall I will essentially be available whenever. Just let me know when you'd like to reschedule. :-)
