I found this morning that my brother is using a picture or our 3 cats as his LJ icon (back when they were kittens). You can see it here http://www.livejournal.com/users/ejay/ - my cat Max is the black tiger who is lounged out across the others.

I'd really like to go to the Incus/Scissorkiss show tomorrow night - hopefully I can finish up my homework before then. My friend M from HS is coming over tonight for a visit so that I can give her my over-due Christmas present and make her a nice Thai dinner :)

I just have to reiterate how much Saturn kicks butt. I got my 30K tune-up and inspection on Saturday morning and it was WAY cheaper than I was expecting. And to top it off they wash and vacuum the car. I'm itching to go on a long drive sometime soon in it; I love driving.

Today I'm going back to the gym though I'll only be able to squeeze in 1/2 hour of cardio before I need to get home (hmm, perhaps I'll spend 1/2 my lunch hour down there and do part of my weights routine). I've been feeling heavier lately but found out at my doctor's appointment on Friday that I'm the same ole weight that I've been pretty much since HS. Now that the most recent cold is gone I'm excited about getting back into the gym routine, I've been missing activity since I haven't had any dance lessons and haven't been in any shows.

This weekend should prove interesting. We're going on a triple-date to the http://www.thefoxylady.net/ in Providence on Friday and seeing http://www.gwar.net/ on Saturday. On Sunday I'll be hosting our second get-together for the http://lists.gothicboston.org/mailman/listinfo/crafts mailing list - I can do some more work on that dress (I SWEAR I am going to finish it in time for Convergence) :)

So now I'll stop rambling and get back to work - have a lovely week, friends!

Ahh, Gwar, what a fantasticly fun show to watch. As long as you stay out of the front (unless you like getting squirted with stuff, then I guess the front is okay). We saw them 2 years ago or so in SF and I was blown away by all of the 14-year-olds singing all the lyrics. LOL!

And I'm totally looking forward to the crafty gathering. I'm so much more likely to get something done at a gathering than I am sitting at home by myself. :)

I forgot about the scissorkiss show Tuesday. And wow, sounds like you have a fun filled jam packed week ahead. Awesome :-)

The GWAR show is cheap (like, only $15) and is general admission - I'm sure there are still tickets available if you'd like to go (its Saturday at the Worcester Palladium, doors at 6:30). I'm not a fan though my husband is - I'm really curious about it. We're going to bring a change of clothes just in case :)

You know I haven't worked on that dress since I came to your place and we had a mini-crafting get together! It is much easier working on things when you can chat over them.

Heh,

The week will most likely be pretty quiet - the weekend will be very silly (which is good, I need a silly weekend) :)

Hope to see you out someplace soon!

From the gothicboston site:

Incus, Scissorkiss, DJs Gryffin & Jordan
@ Middle East Upstairs (Cambridge MA).
Doors @ 9, 19+, $5

Unfortunately I don't have URL for Incus but I'm guessing you may be able to find more information on the Scissorkiss site :)

Oooo, that might be fun! And for once Jared has the whole weekend off next week. I'll check with him to see if he's interested. I'm not a GWAR fan at all (he dragged me to that last show), but it's definitely a fun band to watch. :)

I'm not sure about my project for sunday. My unfinished curtains seem rather boring for a group sew. I might bring my quilt to finish or else I'll dig through my patterns and fabric and start something new.
