Brian and I finally got into Roma Tile today and got prices for the Art Deco stuff we liked online. We're going to order the rectangular tiles for the top (chair rail height), get white subway style tiles for underneath the deco, and get the rest of the wall stuff from Home Depot (a thin black trim to go on top of the deco tiles and a black tile to go along the bottom, in the place of a baseboard). We also found some small hex floor tile we liked that we'll be getting. I took a picture of the hex tile and the subway tile (they gave us samples) and we'll be ordering stuff soon, once our federal tax refund is in.

Mal has taken to snuggling up on the floor in our upstairs hallway right at the top of the stairs, and next to our bedroom so he can curl his head around the doorway and look at us. I wanted to get him a kitty bed for the spot, figuring it would be more comfy than floor. It seems like both cats approve:

And finally, Brian's awesome McGyver job on my driver's side mirror. The part is at Chevy, so I need to call with the paint color code tomorrow so that they can paint it. Hopefully I can get it put on before we drive out to NYC on Thursday. Brian's fix is a good one in the meantime (from $3 worth of mirrors from Stop and Shop). The other shots are of the labels inside of my car door. One of those things is my car color code, and I'd rather have a photo online to use when I call the shop at 8:00 AM tomorow, since I get to work at 7:30 I don't want to have to go back out 1/2 hour after I arrive to call from my car:
