Almost there . . .
Apr. 26th, 2007 08:54 amI'm feeling better about stuff. Getting some things in order and spending time with Brian last night was good. We browsed at Borders for a while and talked about serious life stuff. Though I'm not a huge fan of how chaotic our house is right now (with our couch pulled out to a bed for our turns sleeping with Mal and things all over) there's something to be said for laying out with your husband and cat and reading.
Its almost Friday! The weekend can't come soon enough for some reason this week.
Saturday will be nuts. I have to pick up my rain barrel at the Public Works building, go to Ballet class, perhaps hit the http://www.goreplace.org/sheepshearing.htm for a couple of hours (we say every year we're going to go and haven't pulled it off yet and then we're going to a family shindig at around 4:00. There's some kind of benefit for the Webster Firefighters http://www.telegram.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070422/HERITAGE/704220342 , and my Dad will have some of his artwork on display there (he's donating prints to a silent auction they are doing). There's nothing like piling into the family van and heading out west for that kind of thing - bagpipers, stepdancers and all! National Lampoons has nothing on my family! For those that haven't seen them, here's some examples of my Dad's work: http://marmontiart.com/ . Brian is planning on wearing one of his kilts - hubba hubba!
An old college friend and ManRay goer that I've lost touch with found me via Myspace. I think its a crap format for blogging and communicating, but I've stuck it out there because its helped me find people I regretted losing touch with. Now if only people's pages weren't so ugly (keeping my computer on mute is a good help with that). :)
