This is cool and all, but why just men? Women also batter their partners. The effort was started by men, but I think women should be wearing these things too.

This also isn't to say that ribbon-wearing has a huge impact (statistically) to any cause, but awareness raising is never a bad thing.

From what I understand, it's about men educating other men and holding them responsible.

That the message is better received and more pointed if it comes from another man.

It would make sense to include everyone. Otherwise it would seem to be ... well, sexist. Still, it is a start on awareness.

Reading the article had my cynical inner child wondering if this was the intro path to becoming a Promise Keeper.

Sexual politics...while it is true women batter their partners as a society we ignore it...women beating men isn't "real".
