More people are using thrift stores http://www.dailynewstribune.com/homepage/x1056541039 . I'm sure its the combination of the economy and the more recent push for a more "green" lifestyle. Given new tax laws, for the first time ever I did ask for a receipt for a large bag of donations earlier this year.
Wow! The Barn in Newton is still open http://www.dailynewstribune.com/homepage/x899762994 . My Mom used to take us there for shoes before each new school year started (until we couldn't quite afford their more designer stuff anymore). I always forget that the place is there.

A coworker let me borrow The Mist http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0884328/ last night before she returned it. I thought it was well done in that 'screaming at the slow dumb people in the horror movie' sort of way, though the ending was so, so sad and horrible. I guess that's Stephen King for you!
Dance class tonight - our tap costumes are in so we'll be able to try them on and see how they look.
