Insulation

dancerjodiThe guys are finishing up the job today, earlier than planned. My bill is also $400 less than quoted due to some insulation they've found in a couple of areas (the fridge 'nook' in the kitchen, one wall in our den). They said that a lot of stuff blew into the attic through this job, so one of the guys has been up there a lot over the week cleaning. They are letting the dust settle and will go up and do one more cleaning. At least it can't be as bad as when our roof was done!
The coolest thing, is that since we started this whole process the rebate from National Grid has gone from $750 to $2000. In addition, the feds renewed the income tax deductions for these kinds of repairs (and increased the amount too I think). What a good time to do this!
All in all these guys have been very pleasant to work with. I think that the price was fair, they were very professional and I've learned a lot about our house and how it works. If you're ever looking for one:
