Manray Reunion

Are any of you folks (that haven't mentioned it already) planning on going to this Manray reunion on 2/1? We are wondering if it is worth it. On a Friday night. In Allston. Through Ticketmaster.

For obvious location reasons I'm not going. :) But what you don't know is - I wouldn't be going if I were local.

It was a bit of a turnoff when the original thing went up (not in the least added to by me recognizing some of the first names being in a particularly yucky clique, as well as several former friends I'd like to never see again)
And then the way it was taken DOWN. Ugh. "I just want to see my friends, not the rest of you losers." EXACTLY what I was thinking LOL but even I'd never say that.

In any event it's gotten - big. Ticketmaster? A venue I don't particularly like? What makes this different than Xmortis, really? Last Xmortis I went to I had M with me - and spoke to all of THREE people. Same with Ceremony. Unless my friends were going I wasn't, and I guarantee I wouldn't be able to talk enough of them into it.

And I admit - I'm a stuck up beyatch. :) All these little people crowding me out of the dance floor. No thanks. It RUINED the last few weeks at ManRay when people packed it trying to relive nostalgia. It was bad.

Horribly, all I can think now is *SNIFF* I can go to Slimelight, Or Electric Ballroom. If I'm so inclined (and I haven't been inclined because of the OMG TREK we need to go through. Once I have a car, all bets are off.)
