Do any of my friends at MIT want to put in my brother's resume for a job (or, do you know anything about the job linked below)? He's applying for it and I know a bunch of you work there :)

Thanks in advance! Here's the job he's interested in: http://sh.webhire.com/servlet/av/jd?ai=631&ji=1327803&sn=I

"Tension is who you think you should be. Relaxation is who you are." - Chinese Proverb

Sort of a related note, I can't believe I start classes next Monday! Its been a really nice winter break; I've been able to read for pleasure, do some sewing, have both days to frolic on the weekends, and see some friends. Its been a taste of what life will be like again when I'm done with graduate school. Here's hoping that I can continue to do it (to a lesser degree, of course) in the spring semester.

This will be my last tough semester i.e. the last one that I'll be taking two classes in. One of these classes is my thesis - so this could either be the easiest semester yet (since I love research and paper writing - its just my "thing"). It could also though be the toughest semester yet in that it will take the most creativity. The summer will bring just my internship (which my job counts for actually, I just have to write a paper about something I'm doing at work) and next fall will only bring one class. Then I'll be done (whoot). Less than a year from now I'll have my Master's degree. As the wonderful Alice Cooper would say, "School [will be] out forever"!

I know I've said this all here before. I have to keep reminding myself because it keeps me going in the times that I'm really frustrated and just want to go directly home from work but can't, or want to have fun on Saturday *and* Sunday (but can't, since one day is reserved for homework).

Heh!

Waltham has its first fan site at http://www.walthamrocks.com/ (no, I had nothing to do with this :P). Aside from a couple of facts that are incorrect (Frank owns the tattoo parlor with his cousin, and he graduated in 93, not 95) its pretty neat.

There is even a section dedicated to the boys' effect on women :)

are coming soon I think (B uploaded the ones from one camera but I don't think he did from both cameras yet or if he did, that pic of me in my green dress didn't come out :/, dammit!)

For reference, here's the costuming pics we had from Dragoncon and what we were hoping to see along the halls at Arisia (and why, we thought that a Tuscan Raider wasn't really a big enough deal for the masquerade):

The Masquerade (screen shots here also of the pre-show i.e. the stuff they put up to amuse use while waiting for it to begin):

None of me where you can actually see that green dress :( - ah well, we took 2 but I'm guessing neither of them came out.

There is one of the bantha outfit, a bunch of the drum and dance circle (marvel over the tummy that's a bit out of shape - I'll get back there though, that's another thing to add to the "what to spend lots of time on when I'm not in Grad school anymore" list). There are a lot of good Dresden Dolls pics LINK
