Next week we'll be living out of our microwave and eating off of paper plates pretty much. I can't get over how strange and exciting this all is. The experience has been much different from the first time around - probably because I felt that we'd never, ever get here (and the first time around though exciting because it was our first house, was depressing because I knew I was giving up, and didn't want to live there).

I can't believe that we're buying a Victorian/Colonial in South Waltham that's not a total piece of crap. Its a small house and all, but damn . . . I'm still in shock. It was WAY, way underpriced for the area and despite the fact that we're buying something that was at our upper limit its still pretty amazing. Its shocking that we're paying more $ for the house but are putting 20% down, and got ourselves a kick-ass loan program with a way lower interest rate than before, thus paying less per month in payments.

I'm looking forward to walking around the neighborhood, getting fresh baked bread from the bakery next door on a Sunday morning and sitting next to windows to read the Sunday paper over breakfast, walking down to Moody on a Friday night for a movie or mid-week for an ice cream at Lizzies. I'm also looking forward to being able to walk down and take the 70 to Central Square again, or the commuter rail to Porter. Also, being near Prospect Hill, Harvard Square and friends. This all feels very decadent.

Neat!

The bakery near our new place is a Russian-Italian bakery, funky. Their website stinks: http://www.panoramabakery.com/

Here's another site in Russian which seems to indicate hours (which is a good sign - I was hoping that they sold to the public). I guess they also have one in Newton Center:

I tend to be quite the nature-girl when it comes to physical ailments. I don't go to the doctor unless its absolutely necessary, I don't take medication unless it is (like, unless its for hormonal regulation to prevent pregnancy, or unless I need some amoxicillin for an ear infection).

It helps too that I have a high pain and annoyance tolerance.

Damn, I hate feeling like this. I want to move dammit! I have so much respect for people that deal with these kinds of conditions on a regular basis; that takes strength and patience I'm sure.
