I'm still in awe
Oct. 28th, 2004 08:20 amYay for the Red Sox (and their fans - past and present)! Rock the fsck on! I'm very happy to be a Masswhole today I tell you!
Last night was magical. As I've mentioned I'm not a sports fan (though I love watching hockey). We spent the eve after a bit of homeworking and letting the bunnies play sitting on our front porch watching the moon (or - was it a space station?). Brian set up the tripod and snapped away http://diabolis.net/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=218 . I was curled up in my old patchwork quilt that I've had since I was a little girl (mom made it using patches from old curtains and clothes), and we sipped at warm cider watching the moon slowly get covered and turn a beautiful red color.
We never would have done that in Framingham. We tried to limit the time we spent outside since the neighborhood vibe was just icky. Sitting there last night served to remind me that I really am HOME. You could see neighbors out on their porches and other neighbors inside of their windows watching the game.
After stopping inside to check the score and see how the Sox were doing I headed up to bed. Its nice to wake up and think the weekend is almost here. Today should fly by, because I've got a lot of things to do to prep for tomorrow's PHO Management meeting (the last one with my boss, a sad occasion).
We'll be at goffee tonight - not sure if we're doing the burrito thing or not (I'd like to, hmm), but we'll be there. I'll bring some homework with me, a fascinating book on opposing liberal and conservative views on Welfare Policy and how both sides should work together to find true resolutions to problems.
