I'm so giddy! Its silly really. :) Brian and I have both taken the day off of work tomorrow to celebrate.

I sold back my books last night for a whopping $17.25 (for reference, I probably paid almost $200 for them). Whatever. I want them out of the house and don't have the time/patience to ebay them. Some were sold back for a few bucks each while others were donated to 'Books for Africa' or something like that.

The burlesque class was a lot of fun, though I wished that they had a larger room for their classes. It put me more in the mood to get back into dance classes. It also served to remind me that my costuming and dance experience gives me a good advantage for that kind of thing - something to ponder in the future in terms of performing (though I think it would be fun to hook up with a troupe; I don't like doing stuff on my own).

If its not too late after class tonight I may drive by the old studio and see if the lights are on. Tuesday is when they dance up there and class used to run until 10:00 or so. If it seems worthwhile after viewing the class I'll go back after the holidays for tap/jazz lessons. Monday nights will be bellydance, and I'll probably do punk rock aerobics, yoga, pilates and other dance workshops here and there. In terms of the gym, my parents now have a workout room in their basement since Sis moved out and Bro moved upstairs to her old digs. I'm going to try and get over there and use their treadmill for FREE (maybe Thursday). :)

If its an easy day for school, it can't be an easy day for work.

Today was crazy, frazzled and I feel like I didn't get anything at all done. During this time I was fighting to reconcile around $269,000 that I need to get paid out to docs. This is money that doesn't tie out to multiple places it should (the woman at Partners finds this very funny - of course, she's not the one that has to field calls from the docs calling to ask about their $. Almost $300k for around 350 docs - you do the math :).

Fun.

I'm painting my nails shiny silver tonight after class, that's it!

After class I drove by the studio to see that as expected, the lights were still on. So I went up. I was greeted by Sheila on the stairs (who went to HS with my Mom and gave me a huge hug) and found the jazz class just breaking up for the evening. Friends from HS have returned (Christine, Jen, Tracy), others just a bit older than me are still there (Marie, Ann) and still others either my Mom's age or older are there (Peggy-Ann, Gloria, Sheila and of course, Miss Patty - the new ring leader). It seems a good mix of ages and abilities.

Needless to say I'll be at ballet class this Saturday at 10:00 (and the tap/jazz class next Tuesday night). Peggy's daughter (Peggy-Ann) is teaching the ballet class and apparently people are loving it, getting a killer workout, are into the choreography (a mix of classic ballet and lyrical) and can't get enough. Miss Peg would be proud! The vibe was really nice and lighter than the last time I had been there.

On that note - it appears that the studio was broken into a couple of weeks ago. What did the culprit take? The stereo? Nope. Money? Nope. They took some prints off of the wall in the smaller classroom (one of them a coveted Harvey Edwards print, the other a massive quilted dancing penguin piece). The Waltham police said whoever did it either had a key or knew how to get in because there were no signs of forced entry. Nice. More on this in a friends-only post tomorrow :)
