We're going to Iron Maiden, we're going to Iron Maiden (forgive me while I do a conga line around my cubicle).
This weekend was nice. On Friday B and I finally saw "Bring it On" - man I loved it, I think I appreciated it even more having been a cheerleader at one point and having prepped for a competition (though, we didn't raise enough $ to actually do it in the end). B even liked it, and argued that the movie is really more geared towards men.
On Saturday was tile, tile tile - Dad's wet saw died at about 3/4 through the process so we had to run to Home Depot to rent one for the last couple of hours. It looks amazing, it makes that side of our house look HUGE. I'm bummed we missed the flea, and the Robin Hood Faire and the Swanstage Yard Sale . . . but B and I did get up to Hampton for dinner, walking on the sand, scoping out crabs in the tidal pools near the rocks and of course watching the meat market.
Yesterday I went to my first Red Sox game with my co-workers. The company had purchased a buttload of tickets and sold them to us at a discounted rate, so I figured this was a good opportunity to finally see Fenway Park in all its glory (I'm not a sports fan at all, but I wanted to get to a game in Boston at least once). It was a lot of fun to get a hot dog, some soft-serve inside of a teeny plastic baseball hat, a bit of a sunburn on my face AND to see how supportive the fans can be for their team (despite the last pitcher being a bit sucky). It reminded me of the camaraderie of being in a show, I miss that so much.
This should be a busy week workwise, in 3 or so weeks I'll find out if we do or don't sign a contract with Secure Horizons in 2004. If we don't, it would result in serious changes here.
Mmmm, 2 shows in one week (one tonight, the Waltham boys on Friday). I'm a lucky gal!
