*Snuggles*

I guess if there's one thing the cold is good for, its inducing snuggles. B drove in to work with me today and I didn't want to let him out of the car. I so much would have loved to stay in bed with he and the cat this morning.

Parking at Arisia, Ceremony and weak muscles:
My boss said I can have Friday off despite us having a Harvard Pilgrim related meeting. We're going to sleep late, hang out together, get our stuff together for Arisia and then head over there early to register. Does anyone know of a place nearby the Park Plaza that's cheap to park? I know the hotel has a garage but I'm guessing its expensive. I don't want to walk too far in the cold. Hmm, if we didn't get there too early we could just find a metered spot and leave the car there for the night - Saturday though will be a different story.

We had a lot of fun at Ceremony last night (I passed on the cherry dress, it was too cold). My dancing was awkward I think because I haven't done enough of it lately. Climbing into bed in silk PJs and a sore body is always such a pleasant thing. I got to see some friends I hadn't seen in a while, and also meet a couple of new people (one LJ friend and one Netgoth person that's trying to book Waltham for a benefit show to bring more affordable housing in Waltham). I'm going to contact the band about it, though she's already in contact with their booking agent and had contact with some band member though I'm not sure who. I don't think she's going to get a confirmation this early for a show in July - they want to keep their summer tour options open I'm guessing. I told her that she'd have to find a big venue; the last couple of shows at the Skellig filled the bar and the back room to legal capacity.

I pulled my right-side shoulder/neck muscle AGAIN (I had done it last week too). This is a reminder that I need to start lifting again; without it my upper body gets too weak and I end up really prone to sleeping on my neck the wrong way or pulling things when I get out of the shower and try to towel off my hair. Ouch! :/

just to let you know, meters are monitored much more severely now than they used to be. you can usually get away with feeding the same meter twice (for a total of four hours) but then to avoid a ticket should probably move your car. also the meters run until 8pm now and also run on saturdays.

it is possible to get both an expired meter ticket _and_ an exceeded posted parking time ticket. oh yeah. a parking ticket costs $28 now. so unless you're parking in the financial district where all day garages crest over $30 a day, a ticket isn't worth blowing the budget.

just a little voice of experience. :(

Yep, I knew about this.

"also the meters run until 8pm now"

This I didn't know, yikes! Thanks for the warning :)

Maybe we won't get there so early - I was thinking a meter would be good Friday since it used to be only paid until 6 PM (and we wouldn't be staying overnight). Maybe we'll just get there later and feed a couple hours into the meter to get us until 8:00).

Or, get there earlier and pick one spot, then move it later after finding a place in the hotel to stash our stuff. Hmm.

"and also run on saturdays."

This I knew too. The joys of living in Boston! If only I still had Simmons friends that lived in the area :) I wouldn't be so worried about planning if it A) wasn't so cold or B) I didn't have to lug bags with costumes in them :)

A) We're working on the weather control satelite, but the OS keeps freezing (damn MS windows...)
B) Have Brian drop you and the bags off at the Hotel, and he can park at the commons (or you could drop him off with the bags dpending on which of you is more sensitive to the temp)
