The stupid online train sites won't let me buy tickets! Both GNER and the most recent recommended sites say "Unfortunately access to this resource has been denied, which could be due to a number of reasons."

Oh yeah. That's helpful :/

I wonder if we'll have luck if we just go buy them in the station on Thursday (for the following Sunday). I really don't feel like calling to order them.

In Italy, we were able to buy train tickets the morning of. Same here in America for trains. Maybe it will be the same in London, especially since it's not summertime & prime tourist season yet. I had issues arranging certain transportation options in Venice last year and it ended up it would have been better if I just waited til I got there. Their computer system ate my reservation and it took 2 hours of my time to explain that I _had_ in fact made online reservations even if they had no record of it.
