Friends

Last night was so great! We had dinner and went for coffee afterward, spending over 2 hours catching up in the cafe before we split for the night (she had to drive back to Worcester, and it was getting cold standing in that parking lot). I'm glad we were able to get in touch again, and I'd like to try and pull 'the old group' together to hang out at some point. It will be tough with different and crazy work schedules, but I think we can do it. I really envy friends that still get together on a semi-regular basis with old groups of friends from their formative years (even just once a year). Perhaps we'll be able to achieve something like that.

One funny thing I discovered, when talking (again) about our ex in common, she mentioned his old friend Ben and asked if I remembered him. I vaguely did - Joe started hanging around with him after he and I were long done with our relationship, so I wasn't spending a lot of time with him when he and Ben hooked up, still, the name was familiar. Ben was (and still is apparently) a major pothead. He's also the brother of the dark haired hottie from Buffy the Vampire Slayer who hails from Watertown. Who knew!? I guess when she publicaly acknowledges family she rarely mentions pothead brother - I wonder why? ;)

So like, yay for myspace or something!
