Jan. 17th, 2002 10:23 amAbout not eating our bunnies for dinner because they are so cute:
"Yes, your bunnies are cute and fuzzy, so heres the plan; I'll drop over real
early some morning and shave off all their fur, then you will look at them
and say..."Wow...they really are nasty looking, perhaps we should cook
them..... just then I pop up and say..GREAT !!! I'll start the grill !!!! OK.???
DONE !!!"
About me being nervous about taking on 2 classes and working full time in the fall:
"Regarding your studies, even 2-3 classes you can do no problem, it's a matter
of how you change your spare time, you have already added Simmons under your
belt with high marks. You really have much more in you than you think, time
to spread those wings a bit and show the world how bitchin you really are
!!!! Go kick some academic ass !!!!"

Re: Your Dad
Date: 2002-01-17 07:48 am (UTC)He's definately an interesting guy, went to school for art at the Art Institue of Boston for 7 years (!) against his family's wishes to carry on the machine shop business. He was also a musician (his claim to fame was opening for Simon and Garfunkel at Brandeis once in the 70's).
And now he's a contractor (i.e. the kind that builds houses) - very odd combination of things!

My Dad, though he is cool in his own way, can't hammer a nail in straight. My Mom can, though. A couple of Christmases ago, she wanted a chainsaw.

Re: Your Dad
Date: 2002-01-17 12:21 pm (UTC)Yeah, I think its in our blood . . . his Grandfather had some really intricate mosaic tile work that he did himself on all of the floors in his home (unfortunately the house was torn down many years ago to make way for a Rt. 93 rotary in Medford). I can't wait to own a house PRIMARILY so that can rip it apart :)

But who WOULDN'T want a chainsaw? Your Mom sounds pretty nifty to me!
