I spent last night on the couch under the old patchwork quilt that my Mom made me as a kid. I love that thing - I can look at the patches and remember where a lot of them came from (Raggedy Anne and Andy curtains in my old bedroom, ugly brown curtains with mushrooms on them from the window near our downstairs bathroom and pieces from some tacky black and white checkered bell-bottoms that my mom wore all of the time - it was the 70's, after all). S and I watched Buffy and then she went upstairs to watch Roswell while I watched that Marilyn Manson special on VHI. At one point I took my temperature because I was curious (I mean, the blanket was damp on top from all of the sweat while I shivered underneath it). 100.1

I think it broke because when I got ready for bed around 10:00 I was feeling a bit better and it was at 98.9 (whew, got that over with quickly). But I woke up at 1:30 AM feeling a bit nauseous and had some ginger-ale to help it to subside. My sweetie was just coming to bed so he wrapped his arm around me and that patchwork quilt on the living room couch. Damn, I get cold easily.

I called into work at around 6:00 (I was supposed to be there at 7:00 today since I'd be leaving early to head to class) - I brought some of my HEDIS work home to try and get a jump on ( http://www.ncqa.org/Programs/HEDIS/ ) so I told my boss that "at least, I won't be TOTALLY useless". And I went back to bed - getting up finally at noon.

Max is so sweet, he followed me all over the house last night and didn't leave my side in bed until I got up to try and eat something. Took the temperature again - its back up again only this time at 99.6. I don't remember ever having a fever for this long . . .

So I'm going to sit down and work on some of my HEDIS stuff with some tea and that blanket shortly before I treck into Boston for class. I'd much rather not deal with the traffic (sitting in class is fine with me its getting there with my medicine-head which will be interesting) but I'm not at the point where I'm so sick that I'd want to miss it.
