We went grocery shopping last night! Its funny how something so normal can be so exciting when you haven't done it in a while. We picked up the 'Charlie Brown Xmas Tree' of wreaths for our front door and some baking supplies. There will be much pizelle production coming out of our kitchen in the next month!

I could never get tired of lounging in our living room with the holiday lights, cats, a good book and my Brian. I'm almost done with Easter Rising. I'll be picking up College Girls: Blue Stockings, Sex Kittens and Co-Eds Then and Now from the library tonight. I've found out about a lot of neat books via Bust Magazine or the Sunday Globe, and I'm slowly making my way through them via the library once they aren't so new and I'm able to get them easily.

For some friends starting a new journey, a quote of the day:
"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams". - Eleanor Roosevelt

I LOVE pizelle cookies! I wish I had my great grandmother's pizelle machine thingy - she used to make them every Christmas. I *think* it came with her from Italy. Hmmm....maybe I will ask my mother if she knows where it is, if my grandmother even had it after Nona died.

My aunt makes annise cookies that are so good!! She puts a bit of extra annise in the cookie dough NOT in the icing. Makes a more flavorful cookie if you ask me. Here's to hoping she makes a batch with normal sugar instead of the Splenda crap. It tastes like chemicals if you ask me, the same as Sweet 'N Low, etc. *shudder*
