I did end up finding a purse yesterday at the Burlington Mall in Filenes. I figured, once I get something into my head it will drive me nuts until I've done it. Also, I pass the mall on the way home and it was early enough that I figured the traffic/crowds wouldn't be too bad. I got a Nine West bag similar to the "Houndstooth Large Hobo" in black (I can't find my purse in particular on the site). You can see it in the bottom of this page: http://www.ninewest.com/ninewest/catalog/1025/sale/ . Its funny what constitutes a "large" purse these days! :)

The next 'I'm a professional and don't have to spend money on tuition anymore so I can get some things I've needed for a while for myself' purchase will be a nice black leather briefcase-type bag that will hold up forever. The pleather one I have can't be carried by the handle because the flap closes via velcro, which isn't strong enough. I've put off buying one because I didn't want to pay the $100-$200 bucks, but I've probably spent that much buying cheapie ones over and over again when the first gives out. I'm thinking something like the "Commuter Briefcase" in black on the bottom of this page: http://www.wilsonsleather.com/family/index.jsp?categoryId=1831992&cp=1855608 .

I'm making headway with work things. Tonight is dance class, so I can't complain about my life really (despite work being a bit nuts now).

We went to get a Costco membership last night, since its local to us and our BJs membership expired. I still prefer BJs (due to their selection and smaller sizes), but I'm not driving out to Framingham to go food shopping! :) We picked up supplies for the month+, in addition to foodie stuff for this weekend (taquitos!).

Phear my exciting life!

I've had plans for things I want to make in my head, and I want to try and get a dress form (finally) soon. Last night I came up with another idea which would be really cool - if only I can make it work!

Anyone know sources for good info on women's Edwardian dresses?

I'm getting really frustrated trying to research/plan this supposed UK vacation we're taking in the spring. We haven't picked a date. We have a source for airfare (though, the price I saw didn't include fees, which costs as much as the tickets) which is good. We have a source for a place to stay in London which is good.

But, how long would we be there (and how long Scotland)? How the hell would we get to Scotland (more flying I'm assuming, to make best use of the time while we're there). Where would we go? What would we do? I'm trying really hard not to give in and do a tour where I just have to smile and give them lots of money. I know we can do this a lot cheaper on our own (and really, its hard to get myself to spend the cash on a weekend trip to NYC - you have no idea what its doing to me watch the numbers for international travel)!

This may come as second nature to a lot of you, but to this gal who has never even been to Disney World or driven over to Canada, its a bit of a task!

that planning a medieval-themed wedding with around 90 or so guests wasn't this confusing.
